What is a 1 rep max (1RM)?
A 1 rep max (1RM) refers to the maximum amount of weight you can lift for one repetition of a given exercise. 1RM's are used as a marker of overall strength and power for an exercise. Quite often, sufficient weight is not used during training to help increase strength so 1RM's can help you estimate how much weight to lift in the future based on the desired number of repetitions.
Why do Single repetitions?
Single repetitions can help your lifting mindset as well as overall confidence by giving you the assurance that you can lift a heavier weight, even if it is only for one repetition.

What does a test include?
The test will include the following:
Dynamic Warm up
Technique check/Coaching if required
1 Rep Max test
Cool down
Follow up report with recommendations
How much does it cost?
For 1 exercise to be tested (approximately 55 minutes), the cost is 60€ (ALV incl.) Only 1 exercise can be tested during 1 session for safety purposes.
For 3 exercises to be tested, (carried out on separate days) the cost is 160€ (ALV incl.)
Can my friend also have the test done at the same time?
Due to the nature of testing conditions, it is possible to in fact test more than one person during a session. For 2 people to be tested, the cost is 90€ (ALV incl.) or 45€ per person and for the 3 exercise tests, the cost is 240€ (ALV incl.) or 120€ per person.
Do I need to be a member of OCR Factory?
No you do not need to be an active member to take advantage of these tests. The tests will be carried out in OCR Factory and the cost includes the entrance fee (if a non-member).
Can I have a retest and when?
Yes a retest is possible and recommended at the earliest 4 weeks after the test. It is recommended for best results 8 to 12 weeks after test to have a retest.
Can leisure vouchers or setelit be used?
Yes, ePassi, Smartum, Edenred, etc are all accepted at OCR Factory.
Basic or advanced knowledge of the exercise to be tested will be beneficial.
All sessions will be conducted in English. Sessions will be at a mutually convenient time.
